Next year celebrating their 60th birthday, Shrewsbury-based chamber choir The Phoenix Singers perform a repertoire that encompasses a wide variety of music.
Their concert this month is a celebration of Baroque masterpieces from the greatest composers of the age. Featured works are Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and two pieces by Bach - his joyful motet, Lobet den Herrn, and his dazzling Concerto For Violin & Oboe. The choir is joined by Noxwode Baroque on period instruments.
